Animation

Repeat - a film by Michelle Wang
This was the final film for my Introduction to Animation class in Spring 2023.
I meant for this to be a story about the toll that the pandemic was taking on my overall mood and mental health—especially my family, since we're extremely vigorous about disinfection whenever we have to go out to do anything, but I had to cut some scenes out and this film was simplified to the monotony of daily routine and the feeling that we're just going through the motions every day. It is still the same message at its core, but with less of a focus on sanitation procedures and bacteria.

Alien (1979) Reimagined Film Title Sequence
A re-imagining of the movie Alien (1979)'s opening title sequence. The original sequence was a slow pan across a planet as the movie name "ALIEN" appeared line by line at the top of the screen, with the title credits below.
For my re-imagining, I decided to incorporate more imagery into the sequence—flashes of characters and settings from throughout the movie—in order to introduce more activity and to keep the viewer's attention better.
Created using a combination of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
